2011 Committees

• Scholarship – Chairperson: Nancy Lewis, Ruth O’Neil, Pat Tracey
  Mail scholarship letters to seniors, collect applications, discuss winning applications, present scholarships at banquet.


• Concessions buying – Chairperson: Cindy Kretzmer, Christine Nuzzolo
  Conduct inventory of concessions, purchase concessions at Sam’s club and drop off supplies before games, coordinate with GYFA if needed.


• Concessions scheduling – Chairperson: Sue Marchenetti, Christina Wiedemer
  Coordinate scheduling of parent volunteers for freshman, JV, and Varsity games. Work with parent class representatives to fill schedule and designate someone responsible for opening concessions for freshman & JV games (ice for drinks, hot water if needed). Need parents to help out on game day for Varsity – cooking food, setting up concessions, cleaning up after games.


• Senior Day – Chairperson: Monique Hill, Susan Karp
  Send out invitations to senior parents. Game day flowers for player’s parent. Tent rental through Katz Hardware. Players donate baked goods, cider. Decorations for tent needed. Coordinate players & parents names with game announcer – typically done before the game – on the last home game of the season.


• Senior Gifts & Banquet– Chairperson: Leslee Cook, Robin Janssen, Cathy Tracey
  Coordinate budget, send out invitations to banquet for players, parents, guests. Work on menu/seating chart for banquet at Glastonbury Hills Country Club.


• Game Day Coordinator – Chairperson: Karen Malsky
  50/50 raffle.


• Yard Signs – Chairperson: Nancy Peters
  Sell yard signs and coordinate parents to put up/take down game day signs at local schools.


• Logo Wear – Chairperson: Kelly Dotson
  Design, sales, collections & disbursement of logo wear for 2009 season Need class representatives to assist with distribution of logo wear.


• Program & Printing – Chairperson: Dan & Amy Colasante
  Send out letter to past sponsors for ads, solicit parent ads, collect ads, place in program for printing, submit to printer & sell at home games. Need 3 additional parents to help – willing to assist and/or take over next year. Microsoft Publisher knowledge helpful.


• Photographer – Chairperson: Dan Colasante/Christine Zdroski
  Take player pictures for program, including individual pictures, and action shots – need one additional parent looking to take over next year.


• Game Day programs – Chairperson: Sharon McQuillan
  Create/print Varsity game day programs to include rosters for both teams Need one additional parent.


• Parents reps for each class
  Work with committee members as needed to fill volunteer spots and keep class informed of FOF activities.

• Kick off pasta dinner – Chairperson: Pat Curry, Jae Marano
  Need 8-10 parents to help with cooking, set up, cleaning for night of pasta dinner.
  Coordinate with Varsity captains to schedule JV & Varsity parent sponsored pasta dinners before games.


• Website coordinator – Chairperson: Wendy Burnham
  Periodically update and manage FOF website.
  


• Fund Raising – Chairperson: Will Anthony, Alan Karp
